Britain at the Bottom of the
Pile Again
I
have recently received some figures for the
pensions of European countries, given in terms of percentage of average
earnings. From these I have constructed the bar chart
below. The UK at the bottom of the pile. With higher
average earnings and the same pension, the Isle of Man could feature
even lower. Denial of the Winter Fuel Allowance puts us even
lower on the scale. Any comments?
